Research themes:
- The theory of elasticity and plasticity, continuum mechanics – application of the theory in experimental and industrial practice;
- Theory and technology of drawing, stamping and forging;
- Physical, analytical and numerical modeling of metal forming processes, including alloys and composites produced by powder metallurgy methods and alloys based on intermetallic phases, with particular emphasis on the analysis of forging, extrusion and roll forging, including the analysis and improvement of the durability of the tools used;
- Application of powder metallurgy methods to produce products from metal powders, alloys based on intermetallic phases and composite materials based on their matrix;
- Application of the dynamic material modeling (DMM) method, including the criteria of material flow stability/instability and analysis of the influence of process parameters on material flow, microstructure and mechanical properties of materials;
- The use of CAD / CAM / CAE systems to design the processes of metal forming and tools used in these processes;
- Rapid prototyping in application to metal forming processes using 3D scanning and printing;
- Application of fuzzy logic to the analysis of the processing of metals and their alloys.
